
A local home & garden center, Down to Earth wanted to shift their focus more on furniture and decor, and needed to update their logo, website, social media and advertising.
Down to Earth was looking to compete with high-end furniture retailers, while also emphasizing their competitiveness on price. To achieve this goal, gorgeous photography was paired with a refined and elegant design in a highly adaptable WordPress environment that allows the content and imagery to be easily changed to suit the season. Animating banners and photo galleries help tell the story of the business, their stunning furniture and unique showrooms, while a blog showcases the news, events, and helpful gardening tips.
Along with the responsive website, Down to Earth took their entire online presence into consideration. We enhanced their social media pages and developed a program to make updates. We monitored site traffic and tweaked our content to achieve organic first-place search rankings. We also engaged in paid online advertising campaigns with Google Adwords.
The existing Down to Earth logo needed to be refreshed to match their new focus. While they couldn't lose their iconic tree, the treatment of the icon and the logo's typeface needed to be updated from the clunky and dated version to something clean and elegant. They also needed a simpler, square variation for use on social media and in advertising with the focus on the name.
Down to Earth also engaged their audience through local advertising, postcards, and brochures for their events. The branding that we began on the website is continued here, and you'll see both versions of the logo working in conjunction with each another on these high-end printed pieces.
